I'm a licensed, independent Medicare insurance broker based in Middleburg Heights, Ohio. I work with clients across Cuyahoga, Lorain, Medina, and Summit counties as a fiduciary — meaning I work for you, not for any single insurance carrier.
Most of my clients find me through one of three places: a library presentation in Northeast Ohio, the free enrollment calculator at calc.medstar.agency, or one of the Medicare guides on this site. The way I work with clients is the same regardless of how you got here: a free consultation, a clear explanation of your options, and no pressure to buy anything. The brokerage gets paid by the carrier when you enroll — never by you — and your premium is the same whether you enroll through me, through the carrier directly, or through any other agent.
What I help with
- Turning 65. Walking through your Initial Enrollment Period, when Part A and Part B kick in, and how to coordinate with any existing employer or retiree coverage.
- Still working past 65. Whether to delay Part B, how the Special Enrollment Period works when you do retire, and how the rules differ for small vs large employers.
- Annual review (AEP). The October 15 – December 7 window when you can change your plan for the following year, and what to look for in your plan's Annual Notice of Change.
- Plan selection. Comparing Medicare Advantage and Original Medicare with a Medigap supplement, with the actual networks, drug formularies, and providers you use.
